RETIREMENT OF LORD O'NEILL AS PRESIDENT OF RAILWAY PRESERVATION SOCIETY OF IRELAND
Friday 2 November
I was privileged to be invited to a dinner held at the Ulster Reform Club in Belfast to mark the retirement of Lord O’Neill as president of the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland (RPSI). As Patron and then President, Lord O’Neill has given unstinting service to the RPSI. He has been the Society’s figurehead for a total of 54 years, a record for any heritage railway society in Britain and Ireland. Read the tribute which I paid to Lord O'Neill here |
