TOBACCO ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION REGULATIONS

11 July 2011:Baroness Thornton moved a Motion to Regret that the timetable for Tobacco Advertising and Promotion (Display and Specialist Tobacconists) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 may result in up to 4,000 more young people taking up smoking
Lord Faulkner of Worcester: "Like my noble friend, I believe that the Government are wrong to delay the introduction of the point-of-sale regulations, not least because there is huge public support for measures designed to make it more difficult for young people and children to start smoking"
