LORDS' DIARY
![]() In the 2 July edition of The House Magazine, I write about attending the annual Civic Service held in Worcester Cathedral, where both the incoming mayor and his deputy are members of the Muslim faith, and when the Dean extended a welcome to the city's first purpose built mosque. I also commented on the recent debate in Westminster Hall on the abolition of the House of Lords, and the positive support shown by many of the speakers from the House of Commons. Finally, having attended the 2018 British Transport Police "Make the Difference" Award Ceremony, I commend the bravery and dedication shown by the British Transport Police.
