APPOINTMENT AS A GOVERNMENT TRADE ENVOY

19 January 2016: Appointed to the network of Prime Minister's Trade Envoys with responsibility for Taiwan. Trade Envoys are a network of PM appointed parliamentarians, drawn from across the political spectrum. The Trade Envoys engage with one or more emerging markets where UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) has identified substantial trade and investment opportunities. UKTI will be at the centre of this new approach, overseeing and co-ordinating export performance on behalf of the cross-government Exports Implementation Taskforce, led by Business Secretary Sajid Javid. read the government press release
