AMBERLEY LANDSCAPE DONATED TO WORTHING MUSEUM & ART GALLERY
![]() 4 December 2015: Worthing Museum and Art Gallery were pleased to receive a new painting for their collection, Amberley, a charming West Sussex landscape painted by local artist Jack Merriott, gifted from the Science Museum.
It is thought that Merriott painted Amberley around 1947 for a poster commissioned by British Railways, although it could have been painted as late as 1957.
