October 9: Attended National Day celebrations at the Taiwan Representative Office in London with nine other Parliamentarians. See more on the British-Taiwanese All-Party Group website.

October 13: Was one of 24 Labour peers who voted against the Government on 42 days' detention. See Hansard source.

October 14: Attended a cross-party meeting of Project Heathrow Watch, in Portcullis House, called to co-ordinate efforts to resist the expansion of Heathrow.

Those at the meeting included myself, Adam Afriyie MP (Conservative), John McDonnell MP (Labour), instigator of the focus group, Baroness Tonge (Liberal Democrat), and John Stewart (Chair of HACAN).
